Pros

They have great government benefits. Tampa is probably the best airport to work for TSA compared to many others.

Cons

They pay a low wage for the type of high stress and high risk work environment. They also keep adding to your responsibilities and always expect you to do more than the job description without increasing your wage much. Sometimes you are forced to work for free during government shutdowns. There is also a high amount of favoritism. Management always knows who they're going to promote, but they still allow you to interview as a formality. Some managers and supervisors will yell at employees out in the public area which is very embarrassing. Anger management training may be needed for some supervisors and managers.
