Pros

Cant think of a better way to move on.

Cons

Shift work, at a constant and around the clock operation. If your low on the totem pole expect every important day to be on the clock WORKING other than that read your job offer letter carefully, it can be very misleading PT employees are not making 30k anywhere and in fine print it tells you you'll receive only a portion of the FT salary. Also, the job is not worth relocating for outside of a 200 mile radius, you just wont make enough to compensate your struggle. Also, the uniforms don't fit well so make sure you're a good size guesser or you'll be wearing someone else's hand me downs.

Pros

- Pay is decent - work environment is pretty good (I mean its not in the heat or the rain) - Interesting

Cons

- I enjoyed most of the training - it was interesting! But it is stressful having to re-certify every year. But I do realize that it IS very necessary. - Passengers can make it stressful. Rules are in place and TSOs have no control over them. As with any job where you work with people, some people are just rude and aggravating! But most people are exceptionally nice :) - Difficult to move up without relocating. Many TSOs have Bachelor degrees. - Typically, you either wk a morning shift (4 am) or an evening shift (11 am). Mgmt will try to wk with you, but you may not have a choice.
