Pros

Advanced technology and equipment, competitive compensation package.

Cons

Working at TSMC is often hindered by a lack of clear communication channels. The company fails to establish effective channels for communication, resulting in information gaps, miscommunication, and inefficiencies. Important updates, announcements, and decisions are often not communicated in a timely or comprehensive manner, leading to confusion and a lack of alignment among employees. This lack of clear communication hampers productivity, collaboration, and overall organizational effectiveness. Moreover, the absence of open and transparent communication channels inhibits feedback and idea-sharing, hindering innovation and improvement within the organization. TSMC needs to prioritize establishing clear communication channels by implementing tools, platforms, and processes that facilitate effective communication at all levels of the organization. By improving communication, TSMC can enhance collaboration, alignment, and overall employee engagement.

Pros

Pay is good. Provide meals.

Cons

Very unfriendly development environment for a software engineer. Excessively stringent firewall design and information security control. I can't even use my company laptop for development because the IT head said that we don't want to code on-premises. But who cares about my shxt code? It's not really highly secure like fab data or other trade secrets.
