Pros

understanding boss, laid back environment, thorough training with the ability to work from home and decent benefits. Onboarding went smooth with lots of support and assistance.

Cons

onboarding was a little confusing, but once everything is taken care of, its smooth sailing. (smooth as can be at least) Its still early in the hiring process so, not a whole lot of cons that I can see, yet.

Pros

Reimbursement for gas/travel, Reimbursement for parking/ez-pass. Good first level entry job. Co-workers are helpful and supportive on your team. Unlimited PTO(paid time off).

Cons

Sleep pattern interrupt; you get paged overnight and on weekend very often. Uneven distribution of work; pager system will at times page you for work much more often than your co-workers. At one point I got paged for 7 tickets while my co-workers had 1-2 tickets and we had 4 people on our team so it could've been distributed much better. If conflicts happen between co-workers, management more so leaves it between the two co-workers to work out instead of handling it themselves. Because of how often you can get paged, it's not a good job for someone who has a family/kids. Management explains you can make your own schedule with tickets, but with how often you get paged during the day, overnight and on weekends, that's not really true, especially when your manager calls you if you accidentally miss a pager call. You can have long days with ticket cases: sometimes 12 hour days more often than you think. Managers don't like overtime for you even though when you first get hired, you're told it can be okay.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to provide us, as well as the Glassdoor audience at large, your insights into your year spent with us so far. Regardless of the feedback, we value the input of every team member. You briefly touched on a few positive notes that we take pride in — one being our open vacation policy. We strive to ensure that all of our employees and team members maintain a strong and healthy work/life balance. We know that term can get tossed around frequently in business settings, but it's true — that's why we instituted such a policy, we don't want an arbitrary small number of vacation days to prohibit the health and wellbeing of any of our team members, so we encourage all of our employees to utilize it. You also touched on your workload — and there's a few things to unpack. First and foremost, if you ever feel as though your workload is too great and it is — in any way — hindering your ability to perform your job at the highest standard, then we implore you to have a conversation with your manager. You mentioned the frequency in which you're being paged. While we do our absolute best to ensure an even spread, by the nature of the geographic location of some customer sites, there may only be a handful of employees in the area to assist. The recruiters make sure to explain in detail the in's and out's of every job, which includes the possibility for overtime for any position that may require it, to every candidate during the interview process and at the point of hire. Simply put — if a position has the possibility for paging or overtime, every candidate is made aware and agrees to the job responsibilities. Once more, we strongly encourage you to have a straightforward conversation with your manager for any issues you may be experiencing — we value your top technical expertise — we only hire the best and brightest, and you are testament to that. Simply put, we put clients first and hire the best people to ensure things get done right. We thank you for being a member of our team.
