Pros

Mostly good management and benefits are not too bad. Medical, dental, and 401k are provided.

Cons

Not much room or growth in company and pay is ultra low. If they give you a raise they will give you very little and pay is below average for your occupation.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us and the rest of the Glassdoor community your insights into your time with us so far. We conduct extensive market research constantly to ensure the compensation offered is as good as it possibly can be — if it wasn't, we'd constantly be losing out on the best employees, but we're not — there's a reason that we're considered by some of our clients as being the best kept secret in the IT space. With that said, there are some instances in which pay is dictated by client bill rates, and in those circumstances, we make every honest effort to ensure rates are reviewed every renewal cycle. We try our absolute best to be as competitive as possible with our pay and compensation, but again, we try our hardest to advocate for the best possible solution for both employee and client. On the hand, there are a number of other aspects that our employees love — the aforementioned benefits, our 401K program, our Seeds to Leads program, our free training and certifications via Rockstar U, and especially the flexibility. Furthermore, to counter any pay discrepancies, several years ago we put into place a system to notify our management team of an employee who has not had a pay increase in the previous year. As a direct result, the number of employee change forms being submitted and approved last year with just under $1M in merit increases being awarded to our deserving employees. Thanks again for your insight, and thank you for being part of our team.

Pros

Throughout my years with TSP I have always felt that I was well supported by my leadership as well as my coworkers. My management was always approachable and listened to my opinions and HR was always very responsive if I ever ran into issues or had questions. Even though a large majority of us worked in various sites outside of the home office they would try to schedule things to get us together outside of work such as company sponsored trips to see the Rough Riders or even things such as Whirlyball and social mixers. They provide a wealth of training opportunities and chances for employee engagement and really try to work with employees to help you grow in your career path. One of the biggest things is that TSP taught me to put value in myself, helped me to recognize the value of my contributions and knowledge, and has helped me make a lasting change in myself so that I can be more assertive about my own worth.

Cons

The only thing I could say is a downside would be be the same for any company in their position, the requirements for the contracts are at the whim of the customer.

Hello and thanks for providing us and the Glassdoor community your concise feedback and insight into your time spent with TSP so far. We're glad to hear about your pros — the things you listed are things we take great pride in offering to all of our #TSProckstars. We only hire the best and brightest, we provide numerous training and advancement opportunities, and we strive to be as flexible as possible. You brought up a valid point. We try our absolute best to be as competitive as possible with our pay and compensation, but there are times in which the pay is dictated by client bill rates — but again, we try our hardest to advocate for the best possible solution for both employee and client. On the hand, there are a number of other aspects that our employees love — the aforementioned benefits, our 401K program, our Seeds to Leads program, our free training and certifications via Rockstar U, and especially the flexibility. Furthermore, to counter any pay discrepancies , several years ago we put into place a system to notify our management team of an employee who has not had a pay increase in the previous year. As a direct result, the number of employee change forms being submitted and approved last year with just under $1M in merit increases being awarded to our deserving employees. And you raise another valid point — reviews on CSC. While we do not post any employee specific reviews on CSC, we do feature many employee-submitted reviews on CSC via the MILE program (Made It Look Easy). Without getting too into the weeds about the submission process on Glassdoor, I'd recommend speaking to your manager to learn more about the submission and recognition process for those reviews on CSC. Thanks again for providing us all your thoughts and insight — we value it greatly!
