Pros

You may work as a contractor for a great company. You can get practical working experience if you're straight out of school. Co-workers are knowledgeable and helpful. Direct/Field managers are consistently helpful and make effort. Generally a collaborative team. Occasionally work on new/ interesting projects. Good health insurance and 401k. Can find time to work on your certifications or work training. Can get involved with other teams sometimes and learn from them.

Cons

TSP defines the low end of industry standard pay. Not paid a living wage-or barely so. No performance review (so no reason for pay raise). Do not expect any pay raise even after hard work, time and recommendations. TSP can change your work assignment at any time with no consultation. No perks of any kind (unless you consider a perk is a TSP polyester shirt). Field technicians (the contractors who are the ones making the money for the company) are not included at regular fun corporate events that they post on their website. Almost constant threat of loss of contract, job (through team reduction), or re-assignment.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us and the Glassdoor community your thoughts and experiences during your tenure with our company. In your review of the "Pros" you experienced, you did highlight a handful of the benefits all of our #TSProckstars are afforded beginning on day one. We recruit and directly employ the full spectrum experience levels of IT professions — from little-to-no experience who go through our Bootcamp to provide them the necessary career-specific skills both for their current role as well as future works outside of TSP, to those highly-skilled and highly sought after in-demand professionals. We offer ongoing skills training and education throughout Rockstar U — again, offered to every single employee for free. Lastly, we offer some of the most competitive health insurance options of any employer — each year, our team performs market analysis to ensure we're at the forefront of employee benefits. You brought up a valid point. We try our absolute best to be as competitive as possible with our pay and compensation, but there are times in which the pay is dictated by client bill rates — but again, we try our hardest to advocate for the best possible solution for both employee and client. On the hand, there are a number of other aspects that our employees love — the aforementioned benefits, our 401K program, our Seeds to Leads program, our free training and certifications via Rockstar U, and especially the flexibility. Not every job will always be the perfect, and we wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors. Thanks for being one of our #TSProckstars.
