Pros

They truly seem to be willing to hire anybody SO that means you are almost certain to be hired (I know does not sound good for me but trust I was over qualified and still willing to try this experiment) and the process from A-B goes very quickly. You could have a new WAH job in just 3 days. If you haven't any experience working in a call-center focused job, you get plenty here. If you have no experience as a WAH employee, TeleTech will give you the chance to gain some. If you need experience with common software or programs found in other call centers around the country to add to your resume then you get ADP/iPay platforms, Avaya softphones, Citrix and more. You are paid a set hourly wage AND your training is paid. If you have worked many WAH positions you might know that many trainings are unpaid, on your own dime front to back. Also, other WAH might say $10 an hour, but really they meant .17 cents a active talk minute...no active no pennies to earn one syllable at a time. BUT with TeleTech you usually get at least a full 40 hours of training for at least 2 weeks and when you aren't commuting and the internet was just sitting there earning you $0 an hour anyhow, why not collect $8 - $8.5 an hour to offset some cost associated with having internet at all.

Cons

They are willing to hire anybody but that doesn't mean they keep anybody; you might get let go without notice, your project might end early, you may waste hours as a new-hire trainee just waiting for your instructor to patiently instruct another handful of new-hire trainees in how to operate the most basic of functions for operating their computer. "Anybody" gets a job, even if they barely know how to locate the power button on their laptop. While the hire process is quick, the lapse of time between being offered a position and actually starting the position seems to be 3-4 weeks on average. Something better might come along but not knowing too much about TeleTech's reputation and concerned about your own you won't have enough sense to take the something better because you believe in loyalty and honoring your commitment to start at TTECH. It is too bad though a couple months after you finally start your loyalty & honor to commitment will be rewarded with the exact opposite regard. Early release from project, seasonal to permanent turned out only to be seasonal and TeleTech never considered you for something better just like you did not consider something better. If you have had experience working in a call center focused job forget everything you know, aside from the same routine customers with the same routine issues this is NOTHING like working in a brick & mortar call center. Oh, and with all the outrageously frequent, deceptively simplistic to resolve but difficult to diagnose tech issues you will encounter in the Workbooth & Virtual Network provided you will become the customer spending as much as 2 hours on hold for an in house tech support agent (all of which you will not be paid for because unless the servers crash and every @Home agent in the country is affected you can bet your next pay raise it will turn out to be a technical issue on your end with your system...did I happen to mention they do not offer pay raises?) I have NEVER worked for wages so low except in high school, age 16, first job, fast food eh, minimum wage is to be expected right? So, funny thing is, I was willingly making about $6-$8 less per hour with Teletech as I would have at any onsite call center that is not TTECH but I WAS doing so willingly. I did not know what frustrations would come with the $9 an hour "wage" or I would have not been so willing. I was seasonal and my project was cancelled after only 2 weeks training and 2 weeks production...but the next year I was actively pursued to reapply. I did not, the next year I took them up on the offer and they offered me not seasonal but permanent hire at FIFTY-CENTS LESS PER HOUR than I was making 2 years previous. I took it, it is still $8.50 more per hour than I was making when I was watching TV.
