Terrible Tax Department

Pros

You can get a free fitbit after your benefits start. They have concerts at lunch time every Friday in the summer. The company is trying to make employees happy, and they send out lots of surveys to gauge the employee happiness.

Cons

They talk a lot about work/life balance, but it doesn't actually exist. I was expected to do the work of 2 1/2 people while my boss refused to hire contract help and was constantly asking why the work wasn't done. I worked in a very hostile environment and would not recommend my worst enemy to take a position in the tax department. There was very high turnover in other departments, my first month there I heard about 4 or 5 people who had given notice and were leaving. The company has a poor reputation and they struggle to get applicants with decent experience to hire.

Pros

The only Pro was working from home.

Cons

This job was the worst job I had ever worked, the pay is extremely low 8.50 per hr, (no chance for a raise EVER),trying to get a day off was impossible they had the allowance set at Zero so you were always denied. It is a joke trying to get in contact with HR (human capitol), they are not flexible with schedules as stated in their job posting, they change schedules on you with only a 24hr notice, I was in a regular non seasonal position and was laid off due to the program pulling their contract, I was then offered another position in which I accepted to only a week later get an email saying they apologize but the training class was cancelled. This is a bad company to work for I honestly don't see how they are still in business, no STABILITY, DEAD END JOB.

Pros

The job is great, yes it is call center work but I do it from the confort of my home.. i Can work in shorts PJ's or even sweat all depends on what i want to wear that day... Don't even need to do my hair or put on make up after working many years in B&M i love being able to work from home.

Cons

yes some of the customers are mad when they call in but if you know cusotmer service you make that a challenge to make that customer happy when they are finished with their call
