Pros

Good starter job. Opportunity to prepare for better jobs.

Cons

The training is good but most of the time the class was being disruptive. Two guys cussed each other out. Lots of time not learning not preparing for the complicated system on the floor. Calls lasting 20 minuets to over an hour. Management could control types of calls and if you don't get opportunity calls you can't get commission, and the base pay is too low to live off of. Time waiting for calls, let's see a few in a days time I sat a total of six hours with no calls total in one day. And you have to stay ready for calls with nothing to do. Absolutely something really fishy going on there, I didn't stay long. Lots of in direct disrespect allowed. My high school days are over.

Pros

I like working with a group of people who understand what professionalism is. When you don't have to convince people to work a little later to get the job done right. When people volunteer to do the unpleasant tasks so others don't have to suffer the unpleasantness. When people work on temporary status for most of a year so as to achieve the goal of becoming a permanent center. These are all examples of why I am very happy working at TeleTech. Not to mention their strong commitment to training, their use of data driven decision making, their emphasis on customer service, and their genuine commitment to values.

Cons

Start ups are rough. This is not a start-up company, but I've been involved with starting up several locations and it is not as smooth as you would expect it to be. On the other hand, it is amazing what can get done in a short amount of time. Communication is sometimes not forthcoming. You know your boss is working on what is coming next, but sometimes he or she is too busy planning to share enough so you can plan for yourself. There is a strong emphasis on being flexible, and you have to be to deal with the kinds of changes often presented.
