Pros

Flexible schedule, understanding managers. Nice facility, constant growth.

Cons

Over complicated and convoluted forms. Not enough training. Not enough feedback. each department has their own set rules as to who can work remote, who can not, and the amount of days.

Pros

You get a pay check.

Cons

- Disorganized in every aspect. - Extremely low morale. - No communication between management. - Nepotism in certain leadership roles. - Work weeks used to alternate between 4 days one week, 5 the next. Now it is 5 / 6, in order to meet production needs. - Entire zones can't function if one person calls off. - Huge work load imbalances between shifts. - Company is severely behind on past-due orders. Probably at risk of closing permanently. - There are some employees that can't be trained properly due to language barrier, and refuse to do their job properly anyways. Then they have to train each other, creating tons of bad practices, equipment malfunctions, scrapped jobs, etc. - They take your PTO if you miss any hours, even in the event that the plant is closed for power outages due to weather. Has happened to me twice. - HR is either slow to respond or flat out ignores you. - Too many others to name. - Don't work here.

Pros

The engineering co-op program, which I was employed through, is designed for engineering students. I trained in various manufacturing and quality control processes. My two favorite jobs were working in the CNC drilling lab, and measuring plating thickness on PCB samples. Processes were well standardized, so work was never ambiguous. Most people I worked with seemed comfortable in their roles, and engineers and management were agreeable. Employees seemed satisfied, even if some manufacturing roles were a bit boring and repetitive, people were generally upbeat and worked well together,

Cons

I got the feeling that some of my coworkers in manufacturing roles, who had lots of experience and knowledge, were not receiving pay proportional to their value.
