Engineering at TTM short-term at best(Review applies for process, quality, and methods engineers/interns)
Pros
Good "last resort" opportunity for a fresh out of college student. You will make good industry connections who are ready and willing to hire you for a solid $10k-$30k more after 6-12 months. Saw this happen to 100% of engineers who don't have family connections there. Decent internship program, but expect the project to not be implemented after you leave. Wide experience range as you'll face customers, the manufacturing team, and suppliers. Potentially a good place to work, but management squanders every employees abilities / the cons listed below.
Cons
You will be underpaid, everyone in management is related in some way, no promotion opportunities, and management has a bi-polar decision making process. All workers come and go on a revolving door due to low pay and frustrating processes. This results in a manpower shortage that gives engineers a long list of minor projects that never get done. There is a particular manager who over promises, under delivers, and has a reputation to request important process steps to be skipped, shortened, or performed in a way you know the customer would disprove of. No one outside of management thinks this person should be in the position, but fear and family ties ensures they fail upwards despite costing the company customers, employees, and money.
