Pros
TVA offers competitive pay and benefits - especially the 401k plan. However, you have to stay at least 5 years or you lose all of any company matching in that plan up to that point.
Cons
Depending on your position, you might be expected to travel a lot more than you are told when you initially hire on. As a manager, I expected to travel around every other week. By the time I left TVA, I was traveling an average of roughly once a week - which started to impede my ability to get my regular work done without working a lot of additional hours. Even my employees were having to travel a lot more than I've seen at previous utilities.
