Pros

The 40-hour work week is great! It really helps your work-life balance. The pay is good and the benefits are decent.

Cons

The president-appointed board always brings in people from other companies to fill upper management positions. They refuse to hire from within. This creates a system where the upper management is in it for the temporary gains instead of what is good for the company and it's people. For the rest of the people, it creates a sense of depression because the only way to move up is to move out. Leadership is completely non-existant.

Training is often contracted to unqualified individuals who are not familiar with the operations of TVA power plants Lack of professionalism in the workplace Sexist and lack of appreciation for diversity
