Pros

-Very physically active work which is great for high school, energetic people. I cannot stand sitting, desk jobs -Social opportunities. My favorite part of the job was getting to know my co-workers and talking to different people every day. It helps keep things different and keeps you positive if you put your mind in the right place -Great starter job. If you are in high school, then you are qualified for this job and it's a great start to build your work ethic with decent flexibility if you're willing to be assertive

Cons

-Management is miserably terrible with little direction if you don't have a good manager who knows what they're doing (slim chances) -Lots of angry, miserable people (shift leaders, I'm looking right at you) slip through the cracks, smile at the boss, then hit you with their manager authority to make themselves feel important even though it's just because they're dead on the inside -Managers overwork you and give you hell for wanting to leave when your shift ends and expect you to stay at least 30 minutes even though you're not scheduled for it. -If you are older than 20 but younger than 25 you will be perpetually treated like you are a child along with the teenagers and it will frustrate you to know end -If you are good on the Drive Thru, congratulations! That will be your shift for as long as they can put you on it, and that means piles and piles of unending, hot, scalding pans that only you are responsible for and must have cleaned perfectly before you can leave. No matter how hard I tried, I always ended up leaving 15 mins past the end of my shift just to catch up on the massive loads of dishes. -you will not be challenged unless you join the shift leader's/manager's club and work more for crap pay

Decent first job, but management isn't so good

Pros

Great first job when I was a teenager. Decent coworkers. The work itself is mind numbing, but pretty easy.

Cons

Very poor upper management. You're expected to work long hours and stay late quite often. Also, its a food service job, so all the usual cons that come with that.
