Standing for long hrs,to many floor sets,we just get store looking nice then have to rearrange .

Friendly place to work. High energy sales force. Great to have 30% discount on all clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry, & accessories!

Cons

Standing on one's feet is real hard to do, unless you have good shoe support, which isn't their shoes!

Pros

Great team, very professional and committed to their work. Customers are pleasant to work with, and knowledgeable about the brand. Quality apparel, modest employee discounts.

Cons

The compensation does not match the level of commitment required. Also, an annual fundraiser designed to assist 'women in financial need' (many of them single parents) seemed ironic given the hourly wages of so many of Talbots employees who are struggling to make ends meet on one income. Finally, employees are encouraged to wear the most current styles, but it is an unrealistic request, considering the product price points, compensation rates and employee discounts.
