Pros
ManpowerGroup gives new professionals a strong start in the recruiting world by providing training materials and resources as well as hands-on mentoring - regarding the latter, however, without structure the mentorship program of randomly assigning an existing employee to train a new hire means information and more importantly best practices are passed on more similarly to a game of telephone rather than a formal training.
Cons
The lack of professionalism and mobility I experienced within the CORE team versus on a dedicated client was surprising. I enjoyed my time with a cohesive team that took their work and themselves seriously and felt there was planned room for growth within that microcosm. Despite the prestige and size of the organization, the actual culture felt in a word, juvenile. Management gave the impression of meeting subordinates at their level, in practice this meant pushing the 'family' narrative and prioritizing being relatable or approachable rather than acting as an example or standard of professionalism. The term 'mama bear' has little place in a professional workplace and gives the impression of belittling the workforce. Lax policies regarding how teams appeared on camera gave the impression neither the teams or management took themselves seriously enough to put on any kind of demeanor befitting the work we did. The Staff title (and subsequently any kind of worthwhile benefits and pay) are in reality only achieved through an almost competitive approach rather than a natural progression of an employee's growth, skill improvement and effort over time. There are more lateral options, but these rarely offer the job security of staff. It's regrettable as I feel the organization has good potential, but the practice soured my experience and I had expected much more from a company of this size and notoriety.
