Strong mission and passionate and smart staff. Ability to work remote.

Cons

Weak senior leadership. Terrible culture that ironically creates mental health issues in staff through poor handling of layoffs, no talent management structure, and pitting of employees against one another rather than building each other up. No merit pay increases. Terrible equity sharing for a startup and company that wants to go public. Benefits have also been slashed over and over in an effort to save money when all you hear from leadership is “we’re super healthy financially”.

Favoritism and poor communication. I was one of the employees let go when they let over 200 employees go. They notified us via email and CCed everyone. We only were notified via email and there was no heads up
