Pros

- Exposure to a large operation - Valuable lessons on how not to run a control room

Cons

- Very bad hours - you will be expected to cover overtime as well. - Control room culture is very bad - I have worked a whole 12 hour shift and not spoken to a co-worker. - OCC management promotes a culture of racism and transphobia. I reported a coworker for blatant racist and transphobic talk in the control room and I was still made to work with him in the future, if it jeopardizes manning it will not be taken seriously. - If you do not want MAGA culture look elsewhere.

Too many to list. Lack of staffing and direction. Terrible pay. High Turnover

Pros

Most positions pay well. Company makes good money, so it is fairly stable. Some good people to work with depending on the department. If you are looking at a position that is located in the field, you will get more respect than working in either one of the corporate offices.

Cons

Managers (in Lakewood office) have a tendency to not listen to their employees. Standards aren't very tight. No training, even though they claim you will get some, on your yearly review. Work life balance isn't equal, it's all about "what have you done for me lately". HR doesn't seem to care about the employee, but ANYTHING to help management.
