1. No Equity for the People Doing the Work. At the May 2026 meeting, investors approved a massive new pool of millions of shares, but management hoards RSUs exclusively for Directors and above. Embedded developers building the core product get zero equity. Instead, when RSU eligibility was stripped from our levels, we were insulted with a single extra day of PTO that didn't even start accruing until seven months later.
2. Unrealistic Deadlines & Demanded Sacrifices. The exact same management tier that stripped our RSUs has always forced completely unrealistic deadlines down our throats. They expect endless personal sacrifices and grueling hours from the very engineering talent they are actively ripping off, treating our time as a free resource to cover for their poor planning.
3. Incompetent, RSU-Hunting Managers. Recent outside management hires are completely clueless about medical device software and don't care about the culture. They constantly change development directions just to look productive. Their clear and only goal is to ride out their vesting RSU schedules and cash out.
4. Skyrocketing Medical Premiums. For a healthcare company, the benefits are a joke and degrade annually. Employee health insurance premiums have literally tripled over the last couple of years, resulting in a back-door pay cut.
5. Chaotic Dev Process Driving Mass Dissatisfaction. The embedded software pipeline has devolved into a bloated, overcomplicated nightmare. The environment is so fractured that it has driven mass dissatisfaction across the entire team; the vast majority of pump developers are completely burnt out and actively looking for a way out. Morale is at absolute zero, and virtually everyone is updating their resumes.
6. Constant Looming Threat of Random Layoffs. On top of everything else, there is zero job security. Management relies on random layoffs that seem entirely arbitrary, cutting talented, hard-working people with no clear operational logic. It destroys any remaining trust and forces everyone to work under a constant cloud of anxiety, wondering who is next on the chopping block.
