Pros

Co workers are fantastic, always happy to help, and dedicated to the company. Compensation, benefits, fully remote

Cons

The company is laying people off by department so they don’t have a large layoff hit the news cycle. Also, writing Glassdoor reviews is part of new hire training so that is why there are so many 5 star reviews with no substance.

Pros

Product is very good, and most customers really like it.

Cons

CEO is a very unusual person, putting his stamp on almost every aspect of the company. Not the kind of CEO you want running a public company, which is painfully obvious. Onboarding was TERRIBLE - as in, the worst in my 20 year career. This was echoed by ALL 10-15 in my cohort. Sales compensation is out of norm with industry, so be sure to read the fine print about how long you have to work there to get your last commission check. Tanium is undergoing several simultaneous transitions and doing it poorly. They don't listen to their employees until it's too late, as evidenced by the number of people who have left the company. There is plenty more to say, but Tanium is the kind of company you would expect to sue its former employees, so I doubt many will post negative reviews. They push their employees early in their tenure to leave reviews on Glassdoor. While they don't recommend what to say, clearly most new employees are in the honeymoon phase and far more likely to leave positive reviews that recently departed employees.

Pros

The bonus was significant but paid out only once a year so you had to survive and entire year before you get that money. In hindsight, there's definitely a reason for that one year cadence, see cons.

Cons

I have never seen that much turnover. No CMO has lasted more than two years. Four Marketing leaders left before or their one year mark. And even at the manager level and below a lot of people leave within months of joining. Why? Mostly because of the toxic environment the few remaining leaders create. Plus, they micromanage you and promise you career growth just to turn around and take it all back. It's hard to write such a negative review for a former employer but I and others are so glad we got out of there.
