Pros

Small laboratory, windows, supervision is minimal on second and third shifts. For the most part it's well staffed and we don't do extremely complex testing, so it is a pretty simple job.

Cons

I received little to no training in all departments right out of school. Some of the staff is very catty, there's a lot of immaturity and back stabbing. It's like a high school. There is way too much drama and almost no oversight from the newly appointed manager or from shift supervisors. Procedures are not up to date, yet we are penalized for using old (wrong) procedures. Right now it's not a very good place to work.

Pros

*Financially Stable *CEO and Admin take care of Tanner and look to the future to ensure growth and success *Large company with a small company environment Tanner is a company that many people work for their whole life. I know that no matter what the economy Tanner will still thrive because of the thought Admin puts into managing the business. Tanner is striving to stay up-to-date on the clinical side of things. If you are an RN or a doctor you have many advantages when working at Tanner.

Cons

*Benefits gradually decrease yearly. The benefits used to be A+. *Understaffed *Overworked *Underpaid *Raises and (Pay for Performance) which is where you have to set goals and get extra credit, just to get an even less % of a raise than you used to receive by being a good employee. *Not much opportunity for advancement *Did I say underpaid?? *Favoritism While it is great that you are focused on Tanner being a great place for patients, please also make sure it is a great place for your employee's, who the ones that make Tanner great. Even the Housekeepers and Dietary workers play a huge part in making Tanner a success. Reward employee's, especially long-term workers, with better pay. Get some more staff so that the staff you have is not burnt out and overworked. Otherwise continue with doing a good job. I do realize Tanner is one of the best places in town to work for, despite the cons I mentioned.
