Target parramatta

Pros

Personally easier than working at fast food like Oporto. I also learnt and gained a lot of experiences and friendships with my coworkers. Most of my managers were nice. They hire a lot of teenagers and it’s a good first job experience. Swapping shifts process was veryy easy. I didn’t receive as much abusive harassment (besides inappropriate) from customers as i expected.

Cons

Personally I think i definitely should’ve been paid more. idk if it’s just because i worked in parramatta, but it’s incredibly busy and nobody picks up after themselves there. They would micro manage the girls so much compared to the guys, they only put guys on toys and furniture sections and they would always mess around and get away with it, with the rare occasions i was put there due to worker shortages, i received muchh less workload compared to apparel. There was also lots of crackheads and creeps and i had to deal with a lot of inappropriate harassment. They also only ever hired teenagers and they never really came in for their shifts but i think they should’ve at least rostered more people because there were MANY times where i would have to clean up half of the entire store by myself in 4 hours as a 16 year old receiving only 13.5$ an hour.
