Pros

It is perfect as a first job when you're in high school.

Cons

Management lacks ability to oversee its employees. A lot of boring work is done, you could be stuck in the register box for 9 hours. Very little shifts although availability is very good. (I am normally getting around 4 hour shifts a week with 30+ hours of availability). Management does not train its employees. It is up to the supervisor and other more experienced employees to train. Management lacks the ability to perform simple task, i.e. Laybys. No career opportunities whatsoever.

Pros

- Good colleagues - Good shifts for a high school student - Managers had a great understanding of study/work balance

Cons

- Not much prospect for career growth - Wages could have been slightly higher (compared to other major department/supermarket stores)
