Nice people, chaotic leadership, unclear direction

Pros

- Most coworkers are friendly, empathetic, and want to do the right thing. - Good work life balance because the pace is slow. - Some teams genuinely care about helping Taskers and clients.

Cons

- Engineering velocity is low because the system is old, brittle, and understaffed, yet expectations are set as if everything is modern and scalable. - Reorgs every quarter and shifting mandates create a sense of instability, and employees rarely get clear communication about what is happening or why. - High performers leave because they get tired of fighting for basic alignment instead of building valuable work. - The gap between what leadership says publicly and what actually happens internally is wide, which erodes trust fast. - Psychological safety varies wildly by team, which leaves people censoring themselves rather than speaking truth to power.

Good company, bad management

Pros

- Some interesting projects and freedom to manage your work the way you want and suggest new ideas - Very generous pay and benefits (but it is hard to get promoted) - Work/life balance, depending on your team - Some great, caring and talented people - Company seems to truly care about Taskers

Cons

- Unclear strategy/lack of structure and a very "start up" organization style and mentality, despite the fact it is not one anymore. Some teams overlap and communication is not always the best. - Management style. The company is very political/hierarchical and boot licking seems to be the only way to get a little recognition. Employees just toot their own horn and often end up showcasing their work in a forced, unnatural way, just to be be recognized and be in the directors' good books. This leads to a strange atmosphere and makes the company way more political than it should be, considering its size and the values it claims to embody. Certain directors can be quite agressive and lack empathy, especially in London. It often leads to a toxic environment and favouritism, meaning that, if a director has decided they don't like you, your hard work will go unnoticed and you will receive demeaning remarks on a regular basis, sometimes in front of others. Micromagement can also be an issue. - Very high turnover, and a tendency to say "Oh well, that's normal", when clearly something is going on. The company does not seem to care about retention for some reason. - Product itself could be better, but lack of resources/engineers prevents major improvements

Pros

Work from home option PPK pension plan 60 days work abroad Luxmed medical insurance Multisport card

Cons

Irregular and exhausting work shifts, including weekends, which make it hard to maintain a healthy work–life balance. Toxic and unqualified management that pretends to offer support while actually undermining employees. Unrealistic performance targets that make it nearly impossible to achieve bonuses or salary increases. Lack of genuine career growth opportunities — hard work often goes unnoticed or unrewarded. Poor internal communication and lack of transparency from leadership. High stress and pressure with little consideration for employees’ mental well-being. Low-quality service provided to customers, reflecting poor organizational standards.

Turning Around

Pros

- Great health benefits and 401k match - Culture of caring deeply and collaboration - Constant and consistent transparent communication - New leadership with the right approach and vision - Growing teams and investing in technology and tools

Cons

They are moving through so much change it's challenging to keep up. It is the right change and much needed change but a lot happening all at once. TaskRabbit is finally hitting and exceeding their targets... great for everyone and exciting... but also tiring. Teams are re organizing and re structuring, new faces coming on board in really high numbers. The previous under investment in teams and technology, before new leadership came on, ended up meaning high turnover... but I think we are coming out of that now.

Pros

NONE. It was a waste of time. Don't do it.

Cons

If you enjoy unpredictable schedules and constant pressure, this place will keep you busy. Hours get exhausting, with random shifts and weekends. Leadership and managers talk about support, but most of the time they just add more confusion. Targets are unrealistic, so hitting bonuses or moving up rarely happens, no matter how much effort you put in. There's no communication, and feedback doesn't really go anywhere. Culture is toxic, and good work barely gets noticed while others still get rewarded. In short, I would NOT RECOMMEND working here!
