Pros

A progressive company with its heart in the right place. People with the ability and initiative can carve out a meaningful career path here. The leaders are great people. Approachable, honest, caring. These are hard things to find in other industry leading companies.

Cons

The company has outgrown some if its technology. The old platform makes it hard to work efficiently at times.

Pros

Local leadership is great at communication and leading the group. They are compassionate and understand our needs. If it was not for the local leadership many of us would have looked for other opportunities. With new leadership in Knoxville - I am hopeful that overall organizational trust can be reestablished. Looking forward to 2017/2018 for TH to be back to employer I was excited to be apart of. We are almost there.

Cons

Managing change, communication and management training.

Aware and Improving

Pros

TeamHealth's strongest area is its culture. It is expected that employees work together positively in order to meet the objectives of the organization. The focus is on our clinicians and ensuring that they provide the best care possible for patients. The company is in the midst of a lot of change, and looking into areas of improvement. There does seem to be a sense of continuous improvement expected at all levels of the organization, and I think they truly care about recognition.

Cons

Communication is severely lacking at TeamHealth. An entire action plan, developed over months can disappear overnight without the primary stakeholders even being involved in the conversation. Luckily, this is something the company is aware of because of recent engagement surveys, so I hope this will be a primary focus. Benefits are subpar compared to many other companies, especially in the healthcare industry with the number of employees we have. This seems very counterintuitive to me. Administrative employee care. Most of us working in this industry on the administrative side do so because we want to make a difference and improve healthcare similarly to our clinicians. For that reason, our focus remains steadfast on meeting the needs of our clinicians to ensure the highest level of care to patients; however, someone needs to care for us as well. Traditional office environment. TeamHealth needs to update their policies when it comes to dress code and general office atmosphere. We lose quality, young professionals to companies with more relaxed working environments. We spend 1/3 of our time here, and I think that comfort should be an expectation to promote mental wellness.
