Pros

Flexible hours, location, cafeteria, gym, the different food venders, we get to listen to music with earphones and leaving to home.

Cons

Pretty much you come in and do your work and go home. Management won't ever acknowledge your existence unless you do something wrong. Which maybe a good thing if you don't like to be micromanaged. The employees are ok to work with it's just very bad management and leaders. The job is very simple but they somehow like to make things more difficult than it has to be. There is a lot of favoritism at this company. The supervisors will let some people get by with doing little work and give other people piles of work to the point it gets stressful. Pretty much don't be an overachiever or they will make you do everything. Just be able to do enough to get by and you will be good to go.

Really is a Great Company

Pros

The bottom line is this is a Physician company. It goes above and beyond to try and provide great support to the people who step up to save lives, a job I personally could never do. They have a great corporate culture, and they firmly belive in their mission. It's refreshing to see a huge company still trying to provide a good service, despite their massive growth.

Cons

Unfortunately, there is a Boys Club here. Not at corporate, but in the regional areas. If your not in then your out. Tend to ignore lower staff requests. I even spoke to HR about my issues, and these went straight back to my super-and then I was basically forced out because I upset the balance of the Boys Club in my office. I have heard from other female employees that this particular office had a very toxic environment. Yes, as a little guy, you are given the chance to voice your opinion and needs and issues ... but these are often swept under the rug and fall on deaf ears. It's a shame Corporate does not know these things are going on in the regional areas. Carrots are often dangled to keep you hoping, but never come to fruition... unless your a VPO or higher.

Pros

They have a very ethics-driven culture, to their credit, and everyone I've worked with seems to be, on an individual level, a very nice person trying to do the right thing.

Cons

On the non-clinical side, there is a very toxic culture of no empowerment for employees. Transparency, autonomy, taking ownership and as a result, engagement, are almost non-existent. Management style is very parent-child and thinking for yourself, expressing dissenting opinions, or having opinions at all is discouraged. Open dialogue doesn't exist at TeamHealth. My company was purchased by TeamHealth during the past two years, and sadly I don't know anyone in my network of colleagues who is glad that our company was acquired by TeamHealth, thinks they are now part of a better company, feels their job has improved, or is excited about the organization they are a part of. We used to be a group of very loyal, highly engaged and hard working employees and TeamHealth failed on a massive scale to integrate us, which only hurts the organization as a whole. TeamHealth had the opportunity to make our acquisition the best thing that ever could have happened for us but they won't get out of their own way. I used to love my job.
