Pros

I've been with TeamHealth for 90 days and I must say that this is the best company. Each person you come in contact with is extremely nice, friendly and always willing to help. I can honestly say that I've never been happier in a career. TeamHealth hires individuals that work well together, are incredibly intelligent and all around good people. I've learned so much in my first 90 days and I can't wait to continue this path to learning in the future. The possibilities are endless with TeamHealth.

Cons

It is sometimes hard to get ahold of certain individuals, as in all professions, but if you utilize your resources, you can always get a response!

Pros

Excellent hospital locations, some great support staff, wonderful online resources, easy billing system (although sometimes a bit slow and limited function on mobile devices).

Cons

Difficult to understand rationale for classifying workers as 1099 when all aspects of work are fully controlled by TH including when to work, where to work, how to work, number of hours expected to work (full time), etc, especially when all your expenses are paid for by Team Health except their responsibility to pay for your benefits and their portion of taxes. When I inquired why hospitalists on the west coast were classified as independent contractors as opposed to physicians on the east coast who are employees (in the context of multiple payroll errors and not receiving my full paycheck in a timely manner), I was suspiciously terminated without cause (allegedly due to the way I handled the payroll repayment). Regardless, I will never be satisfied with a company who has no remorse for not rectifying a payroll error in a timely manner.
