Pros

Will reimburse state license fees

Cons

Low pay that doesn’t account for cost of living Incompetent recruiters who lie to you to get you to sign a contract then never respond to your text or emails unless upper management gets involved You will never get paid what you were told you would get paid If you are paid biweekly you will not be paid what you work in a particular work week but instead a predetermined set salaried pay You will always be seen as a mid-level in the most archaic terms of thinking and you opinions will not be valued You are not included in decisions made about your workflow You are not seen as part of the team if you are an APP No RVUs if you are an APP Very little opportunity for growth Your hard work will go unnoticed and will not be valued. You are nothing more than a glorified RN or resident at best and totally expendable

Pros

Flexible hours, great co-workers, decent health care.

Cons

Never got a raise in 3 and 1/2 years. Nurse practitioners and therapists weren't given PTO, holidays or sick time while rest of the non-clinical staff were. When they finally did "provide" PTO, it was taken out of our pay and they acted like they were giving us this as benefit.
