Pros

Since I went to grad school, I wanted to work for a nonprofit using technology for social good. I was tracking TechSoup for awhile and once I found the right opening, I went for it. There aren't many organization where you can come it and have the support to try new things. At TechSoup you can. There is so much that TechSoup does that the world doesn't realize. Look up Transparencee and TechSoup or NGOSource or Caravan Studios.

Cons

Are their frustrations? Yes. Sometimes folks can care too much. Resources can be stretched. IT decisions sometimes don't make sense. I wish there was a little more transparency. But things have improved in my time here.
