Pros

I would told the pay would be very high. But I never continued with the interview.

Cons

Weird interview and communication approach.

Pros

If ego is your thing, this place is for you. If being a cog in the wheel is your thing, this place is for you. If you like to be treated poorly on the regular, this place is for you. If you like to drink kool-aid, this place is for you. If you prefer to be undervalued and not at all appreciated, this place is for you. If you like working at a place with no clear path to career advancement opportunities, this place is for you. If you've taken the DiSC profile assessment and you are a hard D, this place is for you.

Cons

There is the public facing persona of TS vs. the behind the scenes persona. These are NOT one in the same. You spend months thinking you are the problem (why can't I just fit in at TS!?!), only to discover the place is built on a foundation of ego and playing politics.

Pros

There aren't a lot of pros for working at Techstars. It's a dog-eat-dog environment where the senior leadership is inwardly focused. I worked at the headquarters and found it to be one of the worst places I've worked in my entire life. They talk a big game externally - but internally the company is a huge mess with infighting, culture clashes and a focus on growth at all costs - even if it means lying to customers.

Cons

Working at Techstars presents several challenges. The fast-paced environment and tight deadlines demand sustained focus and long hours, especially during accelerator cycles. The high travel frequency can disrupt work-life balance, and resource constraints sometimes lead to employees handling multiple roles with limited support. While it offers significant professional growth, the intensity and expectations are not be ideal, even for people who are highly driven and capable.
