Pros

get to work on high tech products learn DBS (Toyota Production System, TQC) good people to work with generally collaborative atmosphere

Cons

Acquisition by Danaher, an industrial products company, in 2007 has had many downsides for employees. Danaher does not understand how to manage a high-tech company -- treats employees and suppliers like interchangable commodities. You can learn a lot here, but keep your resume current.

A Hive of Has-Beens

Pros

A good "name" to have on your resume, if you leave out the detail that Danaher owns the company. Some good technology to work with and the worker-bee level is generally competent, though not outstanding. Nice location and a pleasant campus.

Cons

Danaher, combined with highly-manipulative senior exeuctives, are ruining the place. Spreadsheets and platitudes rule while innovation is crushed. The feeling in the company is one of having lost the war, badly. Morale is cancerous. Not conducive to progress or progessive thinking.
