Great benefits with a bigger company, but Danaher has forced bad decisions.

Pros

Benefits very good. Salary was competitive with the local market. Chance to work with the newest and best test equipment.

Cons

Too Kaizen focused forcing poor production decisions and delaying product. Management struggles to find new growth areas, but doesn't invest in them long enough to prosper. Not many growth opportunities within the organization.

Great engineers, poor direction

Pros

Smart people and very interesting problems. The physics of High frequency HW design is fascinating. Also, you will get to solve very complex Math problems with SW. Great experience with some great people.

Cons

Constant demand from parent company to reduce expenses. Very little investment in R&D with a yearly layoff. They also happen to target the layoff for the most experienced/expensive engineers. Good place to start but do not plan to stay for long.
