Pros

Very relaxed work environment in terms of dress code and hours. Good work life balance

Cons

Poor management. Incredibly unorganized and dysfunctional. Some employees and managers are very sketchy in the way they perform their work - they use as many loopholes as possible, and if they get in trouble for it, they push the blame onto you.

Pros

Many different projects to work on as new customers are constantly coming in with new designs. As an OEM business you are not stuck working on one product for years. Very knowledgeable coworkers that assist you in learning the ins and outs of the catheter world.

Cons

As an OEM business we are in the middle of the design work and do not get much interaction with the need for the design and then the end users input or outcome of what the devices has done to make an impact.

Pros

Incredibly nice employees that are very intelligent and action-oriented. Managers are usually very down to earth. Decent pay. Benefits are on par with comparable Medical Device companies.

Cons

Almost no promotion scope. HR is non-existent. Academic assistance is shabby. R&D does not engage in new product development, it is mostly sustaining Engineering. Teleflex expects its R&D Engineers to go beyond what is required of their position. This is great if you are looking to learn, but it can seem like being thrown in to an open fire.

Thanks for writing a review. You are spot on that our employees are smart and work hard. Promotions are challenging at the middle manager levels because people are staying with us, which attests to our retention. All of the recent promotions at the top of the company have been from within, which is always our goal. Our tuition assistance meets the benchmarks of most companies at $5250 a year. Teleflex is investing in R&D; it's one of our growth goals for the company. We're proud that Teleflex introduced 16 new products and line extensions in 2014, and 43 new products and line extensions since 2013.
