Good time of OK pay scale good work place can't take your time when you want to so it goes to sick and if you leave they keep it

Upper management is hard to deal with if you don't have a degree raises are small and don't come often

Pros

The best thing about working for TN is the benefits. They offer tuition waivers, retirement, health insurance, and more to name a few

Cons

Bureaucratic, not millennial friendly. Processes take too long and are inefficient and costly. Lots of waste is obvious. State legislature and governor look to degrade employees constantly.

Pros

Co workers, flexible schedule, time off. Everyone works as a team.

Cons

Longevity for new employees has been eliminated. Employees now are REQUIRED to pay 4% a pay check into their pensions (even though they don't get pension until 5 years of service), and you can no longer take your insurance with you if you retire. All the pros of working for the state are GONE.
