      Pros

      They have some good benefits, most of the managers are nice folks [There are exceptions.] and your pay generally goes up (with time), never goes down.

      Cons

      Your pay never goes down, but it goes up VERY slowly. Your upward mobility is painfully slow (regarding your career) and they are very legalistic in terms of every aspect of your day on duty. Not some managers, but most managers are much more concerned with the letter of the law (or rule) than in using good managerial practice (common sense).
