There are great people who work here.

Cons

Awful work life balance. Unclear product. Marketing is always focused on the next shiny thing but there is no clear vision on how to actually market. Sales team is stagnant. Go to market can’t figure out how to go to market. The product is outdated and the company is getting dizzy trying to chase Snowflake. Leadership is constantly changing. Yearly layoff cycle is incredibly stressful. You can expect one major layoff each year after October.

Solutions Engineers are smart. There are some great people at the staff level.

Cons

The company seems to be positioning for an acquisition, sale of parts of the business - something. Right now, it's all about stock price pushing up a sale price for senior executives. This is a company thinking quarter by quarter - not long-term.

Teradata is the gold standard for Analytics platforms for over 40 years. Analytics is critical for the success of any company and provides a wide variety of jobs to make it happen. Nobody understands it better to deliver business value through analytics while being (and staying) profitable.

Cons

While the core technology is very strong, the company struggled to adjust to changes in technology and market, being perceived as old, slow and expensive.
