They have an Engineering Leadership Team that does not know how to manage the company's engineering efforts. They are just interested in keeping their empires and silos at Teradata. The shareholders are not happy either which is why they had to layoff a significant number of engineers. They should not have outsourced so much engineering overseas.

Senior leaders don't communicate with lower level employees. Direction is constantly changing, which wouldn't be so bad if new direction was clearly communicated, but communication is a major challenge here. Groups don't work well with each other. I've seen people literally pointing fingers at each other in meetings. I get the feeling that within teams, people get along and work well together, but not much trust once you get outside your own team. Bottom line is it's just not that fun to work here.
