If you knew Teradata from two or more years ago, you need to spend some time learning about how this "legacy" company that invented Big Data Analytics has transformed to be a Cloud First force to be reckoned with! All of my previous past perceptions of Teradata's GTM, pricing, partner, and delivery strategies when I was competing against Teradata have been proven to be ill-conceived as we have the best in class technical capabilities combined with now the most flexible cloud and pricing strategies.
The on-boarding experience (even virtual) was fantastic ... Teradata University is absolutely world-class.
For a $2B/8,000 person company, Teradata has remained relatively "flat" ... and better yet, no ego amongst the most senior executives.
The pay and benefits are at/above market expectations.
Finally, the time from first interview, to offer was exceptional.
Cons
Would like to see continued stability at the Senior Executive ranks (too many CEO and CRO changes over the past few years).
Also, Teradata needs to rethink its policy when it comes to offering stock options (both at signing and as a retention mechanism) for top sales executives.
