We are all lied to from the very beginning. The job that we apply for title isn’t even correct. They will lie and do anything to be able to fire you and don’t expect people to keep evidence. They lied before we even start! The HR that sends out the emails for us to complete our I-9’s sends them out the Thursday before we start work that Monday and we are NOT allowed to miss any training. NONE. I communicate with the HR lady and told her I won’t have my documents by the start date, etc. I also had 4 other people in the email and nobody replied. She came back Monday and said she was away and asked if I got it handled. I told her I’d be able to get someone to pick up my birth certificate from Vital Records in my hometown and overnight it to where I am. That was too expensive so I did 2 day air. She said they expect the employees to get it done within 3 days of hiring, even though a talent acquisition lady said they give them time AFTER training to get it completed, and that I needed to keep her updated. I did and my trainer. They all knew every step of the way. I was able to get it done 2 days after the 3 day start date. On the 2nd day of my hiring —- My 68 year old mother rode a bus to downtown, was dropped off 6 blocks too early. She has a bad knee because she has severe anemia due to LUNG CANCER, meaning she can hardly breathe and she is walking for ME to keep this job, and by the time she got to the correct building, they were closed. She went back the next day, got it, sent it overnight and it was delivered around 3pm and I had made an appt for my I-9 for that Friday for earliest as possible- 9:40. Everyone was VERY much updated. Always. Nobody said anything about me not being able to stay. Then the bullying starts and everybody that left class for whatever reason - dr, I-9, etc, even though our trainer told us “we are getting off at 3:30 on Monday to complete any paperwork and if you can’t and have appts coming up for I-9’s, you will just have to not be paid for that missed time on those days. “ She lead us to believe it was totally fine. And then slowly let everyone go.
