Pros

An advantageous aspect of working at Terminix is the provision of a company truck, accompanied by a gas card and a cell phone, which allows for greater flexibility in managing job responsibilities. This perk contributes to the convenience of the role, offering a tangible benefit to employees in terms of mobility and connectivity.

Cons

I encountered a challenging situation when my work truck, parked in front of my residence, was hit. Despite the incident being beyond my control, I faced a one-month suspension of the privilege to take the truck home. This decision was based on the assumption of preventability, even as other team members, including our service manager, routinely park their trucks on the street. The demanding workload and extended working hours, coupled with comparatively modest compensation, have been notable aspects of my experience. Commission structures, tied to cancellations, had a direct impact on my earnings. It was disheartening to witness instances where fellow technicians, despite generating significantly lower production figures, surpassed my take-home pay, which was based on a higher production rate. Furthermore, there seemed to be an unwarranted secrecy surrounding pay information, as technicians were discouraged from sharing such details. Despite these challenges, I believe there are opportunities for improvement in fostering a fair and transparent work environment.
