Pros

Opportunity to work with smart people on innovative products

Cons

Micromanagement. Bad culture. Bonus is dependent on the CEO's feeling. Still running like a one-man company.

Pros

Pay is decent for the job field. Coworkers are usually great.

Cons

Can be laid off at any time for any reason. Heavy layoffs almost bi-anually. Benefits have gone down hill. Stock option are horrible now. Corners are cut whenever and wherever possible. Work force reduced but work load increased. Heavy favoritism from management. Hard work is rewarded with more work. Brown-nosing is rewarded with promotions. You can move laterally very easily but moving up is damn near impossible in most places. Everything you learn can't really be used anywhere else as most tesla repair work is done in house. CEOs decisions are very public and heavily affect the job (stocks, customers complaints, Morale, etc.)

Pros

This company has a few notable perks that initially make it seem like a promising place to work. The pay is competitive, they offer free health benefits, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) is a great financial incentive. Plus, outside of senior leadership, many genuinely good people are working here who strive to make the best of a challenging environment.

Cons

This company is a masterclass in how NOT to run an organization. Rather than fostering a positive, collaborative environment, senior leaders seem committed to a culture of gossip, manipulation, division and negativity. Wins are neither celebrated nor acknowledged—instead, they’re overshadowed by an obsession with finding failures, particularly if you’re not in favor with management. If you value integrity and a sense of fairness, look elsewhere. Success here isn’t based on hard work or performance; it’s about collecting dirt on your peers and feeding gossip back to the higher-ups. Leaders openly encourage this behavior, making it clear that betraying colleagues is rewarded far more than any actual contributions to the company’s success. There’s no standard operating procedure, which leaves the door wide open for leaders to twist and manipulate situations to their liking. If they have a problem with you, they’ll find a way to make sure you don’t “meet standards.” Decisions about employees’ careers are often arbitrary and rooted in personal biases rather than actual merit. Meanwhile, supervisors and individual contributors are overworked, underappreciated, and left with no recognition for their contributions. This is a place where gossip is more valued than hard work, creating a cutthroat environment where nobody feels safe. For anyone considering a role here, proceed with extreme caution. The lack of leadership integrity and a pervasive culture of backstabbing make this a truly toxic place to work.
