Pressure Cooker Env. Not a Tech Company
Pros
Good benefits Talented peers Good for fast growth Good place for internships (short-term roles)
Cons
- High attrition rate - Pay is low to mid. Expect to pay for even pizza parties - The environment is stifling and toxic. Micro-managers everywhere. - Mandatory return to office and attendance tracking. Infosec tracks everything. Lack of trust and respect from management. - Leadership commands with fear rather than respect. Lots of politics - IT team uses outdated processes while claiming to be "agile" - Guilt-trips come with PTO requests due to "flexible" PTO policy (not truly unlimited) I would not recommend working here long-term for your mental health. In the short-term it's good to build experience in a pressure cooker environment. Don't expect this to be anything like a cushy silicon valley tech job because it's not. I would stay away from the IT org, but there may be other orgs with better culture and work-life balance.
