      The company itself is great and profitable, people are nice too.

      Cons

      Resistant to new ideas. In one department I worked over 22 weekends in a row.

      Great people, every day is challenging.

      Lot's of changes going on and there are some people who dislike change. I personally like the changes and the direction we are going.

      Pros

      Good benefits, employee development, stability, good people, excellent work/life balance compared to most IT shops.

      Cons

      Vacation (only 2 weeks for first 5 years), because it's an insurance company, it's a lot more "buttoned up" and formal than IT companies, and benefits are the same as the insurance business side jobs, not typical of IT.
