- The atmosphere is very laid back, but still maintained standards such as dress code, etc. - Its a vast introduction to technology topics. - Expert personnel is always willing to help you figure out problems.

Cons

- Pay is relatively on the low side. - Good luck getting benefits.

There are no good reasons to work here

Cons

The lowest graduation rate in Texas, the lowest graduation rate among all the HBCU's. Preisdent Rudley told us these facts at November 2011 faculty meeting. But no plans to improve the culture and promote honest good people. Everything is based on nepotism and favoritism like when Slade was President. Nothing has changed. Very depressing place to work. If I could leave I would but I am stuck. Additionally, a faculty and administration that are at odds with each other over the direction of the university.

Location, Benefits (Free Insurance),Good Motto, Famous HBCU Has expanded programs for students. They are focusing on academic standards to promote student completion rates. The school has become more ethnically diversity-with more students from other countries.

Cons

Pay, Lay Offs, No tuition assistance for employees, Lazy culture, No room for growth for staff employee
