      State benefits and the feeling of being a part of the Texas Tech tradition.

      Cons

      Executive Administration is so focused on obtaining Tier 1 research status that they are willing to sacrifice any and all to achieve this status.

      Lots of Work, Lots of Criticism, Little Pay

      Full benefits for 20+ hours a week of work; Daycare program with the Child Development Center is quite nice; Very cheap to live in the surrounding area; Campus is safe

      Cons

      Superiors not always superior in education; Heavily criticized if you do not follow the book when teaching; Students will win traditionally; Athletes are not treated as ordinary students; Pay is way less than other universities; Not enough financial resources to teach with technology in all classrooms.
