      Work Hard, Get Little: Pay and Vacation/PTO Disappoint

      Pros

      The management team is genuinely nice and treats employees with respect. Work hours are consistent and manageable

      Cons

      The job is extremely high-stress and physically demanding, with real safety risks. Despite the dangerous nature of the work, there are no meaningful perks, bonuses or cost-effective benefits to support employees. Vacation isn’t available until after one full year—and even then, the time off is minimal (5 days). Overall compensation does not reflect the intensity or risk of the role.

      Works at least 65 to 70 hours for that amount of money Pay by load Working nights is the only way you’ll make good money Safety score above 95 in order to receive bonus

      starter company to get tanker training

      training was good, depends on your trainer. operations manager is a fellow driver and will work with you. (good guy) no cams facing you (for now).....

      Cons

      pay is lowest in the industry so far as i talked to other drivers. slip seat can be a pain, dispatchers will give you assigned truck away to other drivers, knowing when you come in (biggest pain there). rotating schedules 6/2 5/2 also a pain. cams on side of trucks to watch how you drop fuel. dispatch is bad.
