      Pros

      Rewarding work. Agency has a good reputation with legislature.

      Cons

      No career ladders in most areas. No rewards for good or hard work. Raises are nonexistent. Cliquish upper management team. No efforts to retain good employees so turnover is high and workloads increase beyond reasonable expectations as people leave.

      Hours and independant work was a pro.Working alongside local companies to help employ the best job seekers for the company.

      Management was micro managing and often breathed down your neck until tasks complete.

      Some great people and pretty good benefits. Hours are somewhat flexible.

      Cons

      You know the old saying about State employees - well it's true. Three people to do the job of one person. If you are a hard worker it all falls on you to get the work done. A lot of co-workers barely even show up for work. Had one in particular the boss was always looking for - she went shopping during office hours. Nothing happened. Had a co-worker threaten us with bodily harm - nothing done about her - should have been immediate dismissal.
