Pros

I will be able to draw unemployment benefits while searching for work.

Cons

I may have to wait a few weeks BEFORE I receive my first unemployment check. Also, I had some questions that I wanted to ask the TWC, and when I called, the wait time was over 20 minutes long before I was able to talk with anyone.

Pros

Careers at the Texas Workforce Commission can be very challenging and rewarding, for the most part. If you are among the fortunate and can last for a number of years the pluses are there.

Cons

Unfortunately for thirteen of us, our time was cut short in a cost reduction move and we were all let go on the same day. I personally had one year to go to reach my official retirement age. This was not one of my happiest days.

Pros

I stayed busy pretty much my entire tenure.

Cons

Leadership extremely slow, lots of people sitting and just talking.
