Pros

Very Positive agency culture. People are very nice to each other. This matters a lot! Thoughtful, appreciative Executive Director often provides extra day(s) of winter holiday leave. State pays full health insurance for employee & half or so for family.

Cons

Multiple agencies and functions were merged to form TWC. Result is some siloing and inadequate cross-division communication aka, Difficult to find out who does what within other divisions. So much focus on support and performance of external partners (Workforce Boards) who deliver direct services that internal procedures may sometimes go unevaluated and vary widely from department to department. All State agency salaries are low - 2023 saw first raises (5%) since 2014. Another 5% coming in 2024.
