Pros

Remote and in office Off festive days Ability to complete full 8 hours between 7am-6pm.

Cons

Will lose hours on mandatory festive days where TWC closes. Meaning you wont get to complete full 40 hours if you wanted to as a temporary worker.

Pros

They work for employers. TWC inherited the Vocational Rehab program thanks to the Texas Legislature who thought "TWC places people in jobs and they are impressive with stat's". Just because it looked good on paper didn't mean they knew (or wanted to know) anything about working with people with disabilities, accommodations for job placement, etc.

Cons

They are so good as slicing and dicing data, that's all they do. They took over the Division of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services and micromanaged it to something ineffective. First, they lowered the educational standards for VR Counselors, then they gave the counselors so much busywork they have no time for anything else. But hey... TWC can make a nice report from all that so-called data! This is what happens when accountants take over the priesthood.
